Area Agency on Aging*
Did you know that as a Maricopa County resident age 60 plus, you are eligible for a number of free services through the Area Agency on Aging? Join us to learn about the 24 hour Senior Help Line, Ageworks – for those seeking employment, and Elder Rights, just to name a few.

Crafternoon – Sea Creatures
Stay cool and create! Stop by the Library and make your own paper craft sea creatures and then write your own story about ocean exploration. Geared for ages three to six, but all are welcome with caregiver. Registration opens July 25 and is limited to 20 participants.

Awesome Occupations! Meteorologist Dr. Matt Pace*
Our “Awesome Occupations” series kicks off with a visit by Meteorologist Dr. Matt Pace, a weather anchor for Channel 12 News in Phoenix. What does a meteorologist do? How does he predict weather? Come and learn all there is to know about Matt’s awesome occupation”! This program is intended for school age children, ages five to 12, but all are welcome.

Tea with the Queen
Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II recently celebrated her 90th birthday! In her honor, join us to watch the recent PBS documentary on her life and reign. Following the screening, we’ll all enjoy a lovely English tea accompanied by scones. Hats and gloves optional! God Save the Queen! Limited to 30 attendees. Registration begins on July 26.

Aromatherapy Creations
Aromatherapy is believed to be both physically and psychologically beneficial to your everyday well-being. At this workshop, you’ll make your own aromatherapy fizzing bath bombs to take home or to give as gifts! Limited to 15 attendees. Registration begins on August 1.

Unwind at Adult Coloring Time
Adult coloring is sweeping the country and we want you to experience this latest trend in relaxation at your own Branch Library. If you haven’t heard, adult coloring helps promote our general wellness. Feel free to bring a snack, socialize and relax! Although you are welcome to bring your own colored pencils or markers, all supplies are provided.
*On the day of the program, please come by the Library Customer Service Desk for a free ticket, limit two per person. Please park in the church parking lot next to the library.
