April showers bring May Flowers. Well, Women’s Connection is hoping to shower Sunshine Acres with needed items to continue the fabulous work of this Miracle in the Desert. President Carol Whitworth will give a presentation on Sunshine Acres of Mesa. It provides loving homes for children ages five to 15 who are separated from their parents. It has cared for over 1600 children since it open in 1954. This is our opportunity to help an organization that is doing a great service for our community and children in need. Needed items are wish list gift cards: Walmart, Target, Fry’s, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, McDonalds, Taco Bell and Subway. Other items include Chapstick, body/hand lotion, shaving cream and razors, liquid body soap, acne treatments and paper goods. Toys and games (children’s ages are between five and 15 years). The website can be viewed at www.sunshine.org.
