Spring is in the air. Flowers are blooming. What a great time for a girlfriend get-together. Invite them to join you on Thursday, May 10, in the Kingston Ballroom of the Oakwood Country Club, Sun Lakes. You will share a delicious brunch, wonderful music, great program and time with good friends.
Marilu Vince is a Midwest gal who has lived in Arizona for 33 years. She considers herself semi-retired, although she still works full time as a CPA/legal assistant in an East Mesa law and tax firm. She is a graduate of Indiana University with a business management degree. Marilu became a CPA after relocating to Arizona. She has twin daughters and a son and seven grandchildren. This is a woman who enjoys traveling, reading and music and is still singing in a church choir. She loves life and lives so. We will hear how freedom from control is a key answer to life and learn how to obtain it. Her talk is titled “Freedom from Being in Charge.”
Representatives from The Perfect Place and Neighbors Who Care will give a special presentation. They will inform us about the organizations and how they serve this community. We will learn of opportunities for involvement.
Carol Matousek, a pianist/vocalist, will be our featured music. She has performed for several years in Florida and her home state of Iowa. Carol moved to Sun Lakes a few months ago and recently performed at Sun Lakes Country Club.
Crystal Card Project ladies will be there to sell their greeting cards for $1.00 each to benefit charity. It’s a good time to stock up for the summer.

Gluten-free/special diet meals must be ordered at time of reservation. Cancellations must be made no later than Monday, May 7, by 10:00 a.m. by calling Deb at 612-272-2407.
