The Sun Lakes Card Makers will hold their first meeting of the fall season on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. in the Arts & Crafts Room of Sun Lakes Phase 1. Our meetings are always on the third Wednesday of each month, year round, and begin at 1 p.m. Often, we gather for lunch at 11:30 a.m. in the Sun Lakes Grill for conversation and “card” talk. Our meetings are usually a workshop and an opportunity to learn what is new in card making while sharing our projects. Each member takes a month and leads the workshop by providing the other members with card kits on her preferred theme. Interested card makers are invited to check us out by attending a meeting as a guest. We only ask that you not be a beginner and are familiar with rubber stamping, die cutting, and the basics of coloring.
