RI past District 5495 Governor Kevin Pitts presents the District’s Rotarian of the Year Bell Award to RCSL Rotarian Stephen Phair.

The Rotary Club of Sun Lakes (RCSL) extends congratulations to RCSL past President Stephen Phair. Stephen was named RCSL July 2024 Rotarian of the Month and 2023-24 RI District 5495 Rotarian of the Year (ROY).
Rotary International (RI) Past District 5495 Governors (PDG) Kevin Pitts and Larry Horton were on hand to present the District’s ROY bell and personalized crystal awards to “up-and-comer” Stephen. Per Kevin, Stephen’s leadership, determinedness, service, and innovation to initiate and complete the State of Arizona Rotary License Plate Project was appreciated. Stephen was instrumental in getting a legislative bill passed and RI approvals after others had failed. Stephen stated he expects the plate’s final design to be approved soon and the plates to be ready to order before the end of 2024. Stephen extended kudos to PDGs Kevin Pitts, Larry Horton, and Elizabeth Mahoney; RCSL Rotarian/AZ State Representative Jennifer Pawlik; and Rotarians for their support to make the license plate a reality.
