Gary Vacin

Fifteen Sun Lakes Aero Club (SLAC) members and guests participated in a field trip to the Pima Air Museum at Davis Monthan AFB near Tucson January 22. The museum features 80 acres of aircraft and spacecraft on display. The trip also included a bus tour through the base’s boneyard storage area featuring more than 4,000 aircraft that are mothballed and retired from service. Making the trip were Steve Perkins, Bob DeLong, Gary Vacin, J.R. Scheidereiter, Gary West, Dick Simmons, Gene Evans, Paul Beek, Janet Beek, Bill Brown, Ed Gunderson, John Wood, Cannon Hill, Steve Ponath and Bill Pennings.
