The Agave Quilt Guild will hold the final meeting of the current season on May 6 in the Oakwood Ballroom of the Oakwood Country Club. Agave wishes to sincerely thank the entire Sun Lakes community for their heartfelt support of our recent annual Quilt Show in March; we hope you had a perfect time and plan on coming again next year! The Agave governing Board also wants to thank every member who participated in the show by sharing a quilt, volunteering at the show or donating an item for the boutique. Without each of you, we would not have had the wonderful successful show that we did.

The speaker for the final meeting of the spring season is Dennie Sullivan, Agave art quilter extraordinaire. Dennie has been a member of Agave almost since the very early days of the group and helped form the art group. She will be presenting a trunk show of her many award winning art quilts and also explaining how to label our quilts in unique ways.

Special congratulations go out to Agave member Diane Hansen, who recently won a blue ribbon for one of her art quilts at the recent Arizona Quilt Guild Show. Agave is very proud of all of Diane’s many accomplishments and we wish her well as she continues her quilting journey.

As usual, the meeting will begin sharply at 1:00 p.m. Reminder: this is the last meeting for bringing items for the share table and also the last month for classes.
