The Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse and the American Red Cross held successful blood drives in Sun Lakes on July 9 and July 15, 2020. The drives were held at the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse facility on Riggs Road. The blood drive efforts were driven by recent shortfalls in the blood supply because of the COVID-19 shutdown.

The two drives were supported by 82 combined donors, producing 64 units of valuable blood supply for the American Red Cross. Many of the new donors were from the Sun Lakes community. We wish to thank those donors who supported the drives.

The next blood drive will be on Oct. 27, 2020, at the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse Office on Riggs Road.
