The fire district’s Community Assistance Program for Sun Lakes of the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority celebrated the “retirement” of Charter Member Carolyn Barrans at their monthly meeting. Barrans, who joined CAP 17 years ago when it began and was originally affiliated with the Neighbors Who Care organization, was honored with a cake that brought together many past and present CAP members. Though she is a “Life Member” and, as thus, will never not be a member of CAP, Carolyn felt that she needed to retire from her auxiliary obligations.
