Sun Lakes resident Raymond Texeira is putting on a magical evening of entertainment at the Sun Lakes Country Club, located at 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd., Sun Lakes, AZ 85248, on Sunday, January 6, 2019.

Raymond officially joined the magic community as a member of the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians in the mid ‘90s. After winning a number of local and national magic competitions in California and Nevada, he performed for the next 10 years at various stage venues, casinos and community events, ending with a two-year run of his The Magic of Raymond show performed weekly at one of Northern California’s largest nightclubs. He has earned the prestigious “Harry Houdini” and “Order of Merlin” status for his time and contribution to the magic community.

“Since moving to Sun Lakes a year ago, I have met so many generous folks who live and play here. They have inspired and encouraged me to contribute my time and talent by putting on a charity fundraiser,” says Raymond. “At the same time, I think that working with our neighbors on a fun project will be a great way to draw the community together. That’s why I’ve decided to come out of retirement and present The Magic of Raymond – Just One More Time Again show. Profits will go to two local charities.

The first charity that has an ongoing need for funds is Matthew’s Crossing, a non-profit charitable organization, providing assistance for individuals and families in the East Valley, currently addressing needs associated with hunger and basic necessities. For more information, go to www.mattewscrossing.org.

The second charity that will benefit from the show is Rover’s Rest Stop, a dog rescue service in the Chandler area that works with small dogs, matchmaking each one to the perfect home based on lifestyle, activity level and personal needs. They ensure all vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter, basic training, etc., are completed prior to adoption, and they support the new adopted family throughout the dog’s lifetime. For more information and to view the available dogs for adoption, go to www.roversreststop.com or www.facebook.com/roversreststop.

Raymond is a born entertainer and will delight you with his sense of humor and magical illusions on the big stage. He has brought together an enthusiastic team of community volunteers who will assistant him with the show in various capacities.

Don’t miss this one-time opportunity to support two wonderful organizations while enjoying a magical night, full of fun with friends and neighbors. For questions, email Raymond at [email protected].
