Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s – times of celebration; times of temptation, too. Do you have a plan to stay healthy during the season? It’s common to pack on 5-10 pounds during the holiday season, but there are ways you can eat both healthy and well! Don’t deprive yourself of such treats, but indulge in moderation. Eat smaller meals instead of “saving yourself” for one huge buffet. Don’t eat something just because it’s holiday food. Really want that spurge.
This is the time of year a good support system is important. When you eat right, you feel right and live healthier and better. Healthy eating begins with you! A good first step is to join a sharing group which will help to build a base of nutritional knowledge that will sustain you for the rest of your life.
We meet on Wednesday mornings in the Cottonwood Clubhouse, Room A-7, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Weigh-in is from 9:15-9:30 a.m. Look for the Fit and Fun sign. The cost is $5.00 for one-time sign-up fee. Bring a notebook or journal and a pen.
