Are you new to Sun Lakes or just looking for more fun and friends? Look no farther, as the Fun Lakers Club is busy making plans for new and exciting activities for all the residents of our beautiful community to enjoy.
Our Super Summer Stay-cation was enjoyed by all in attendance. Members brought appetizers and their appetites and enjoyed an evening of casual fun. We thank Sheila and Gary Bross for their hard work in putting together such a lovely event.
On September 19 we will be hosting a fun-filled evening of trivia with a twist while enjoying a buffet of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres. Our own Fun Laker, Mike Banta, will act as master of ceremonies and promises to keep us all on our toes. We will meet at the Saguaro Room at Cottonwood at 5:30 p.m. for cocktails to be followed by the hors d’oeuvre buffet at 6:00 p.m. There will be games with prizes for the lucky winners, a 50/50 raffle and the opportunity to mingle with our fellow Fun Lakers. Reservations for this event are only $20 for members and $25 for non-members and must be post marked and mailed no later than Friday, September 11. Our activities committee is very busy planning many more exciting activities, including a Western night with hay rides under the stars, a wine and tapas (small Spanish plates) pairing which will be presented by a well-known Valley sommelier and a festive dinner dance in December. Additionally, the committee is already working on activities for 2016. If you have time or would like to get involved, please let a Board member know as we’d enjoy having your help and input.
