I am sorry to say that there will be no activities this month for the Fun Lakers due to the COVID-19 virus. We will advise everyone when we can have events and where they will be. We did have the elections last month for our top four officers, effective July 1, 2020. The results were President Ray Texeira, Vice President Debbie Bernhart, Secretary Joan Blanchard, and Treasurer Steve Flicker. These four officers appoint the other board positions based upon the nominating committee recommendations. These results will take a couple of weeks.

We would like to advise everyone that the membership for the Sun Lakes Dance Party is on sale now for $45 per person until July 1 for the season (six dances; $7.50 per dance). After July 1, it will be $55 per person for the season (six dances; $9.17 per dance). This offer ends on Oct. 15. The cost at the door will be $12 per person per dance. The six dance parties for next year will be held at the Oakwood Ballroom again. The doors at the dance party open at 6:10 p.m. with dance lessons by Eddie Gilbertson starting at 6:30 p.m. and open dance with music by Thaddeus Rose from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The schedule for 2020-21 will be on Thursdays, Oct. 15, Nov. 19, Jan. 14, Feb. 11, March 11, and April 15.
