Every year the Sun Lakes Women’s Association of the Sun Lakes communities works towards producing a huge bazaar which features many, many treasures, donated and collected year round, with the goal of raising money to support a number of local charities and to provide extra amenities for the participating communities. This year our collection of goodies has surpassed any previous year. We have lots and lots of treasured furniture, linens, electrical appliances (all in working order), kitchen items, vintage items, collectables, books, CDs, Christmas items, art, jewelry, golf and gardening items, etc. The Women’s Association members also spend their year crafting items for your Christmas gift needs and making flower arrangements to decorate your home. You name it, we have it. You can view some of our items on Craig’s List where we sell items year round. This year we are adding a special Gift Shop. These are new items, such as candles, that have been given to us by a store that has gone out of business. Great, great, bargains you won’t find anywhere else. You don’t want to miss this great event.
This year our bazaar will open Thursday, October 30 at noon and continue through Sunday, November 2 at 1:00 pm. For further details visit Sun Lakes Country Club website or call 480-895-9270; to leave a message call 480-895-9270, ext. 220.
Besides the sales we are raffling off a wonderful golf cart (value $9,000). This raffle will take place Sunday, November 2 at 1:00 p.m. but you don’t have to be there to win. Tickets are already on sale at Sun Lakes Country Club and will be on sale at each of the Open Houses at the various communities in October. We will also be offering daily 50/50 raffles, hourly raffles of donated items and gift certificates donated by local merchants, music, a special bazaar menu at our Sunset Grill restaurant and a Beer and Wine Garden on our north patio.
All this takes place at Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 N. Sun Lakes Blvd., Sun Lakes AZ 85248 (Riggs Road between Dobson and I-10); telephone 480 895 9270.
Volunteers needed – In order to make our big Bazaar a success the Women’s Association is calling on community members to volunteer Wednesday, October 29 to help deliver and set up our numerous items throughout the Clubhouse. We would also appreciate your participation on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. to help pack up and prepare all left over items for pick up by our participating charitable organization Goodwill which will take charge of these items and support our charitable efforts.
