Pat and David Florence, residents of Sun Lakes for 30 years, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends at the Palo Verde Club Restaurant.

Their family surprised them with six dozen roses – a dozen for every decade – which decorated the table with their wedding and early family pictures. David gave a touching toast to his college sweetheart and wife, and thanked her for all the years they have been together. He then introduced their family members, most of whom had traveled for the occasion. Their son Mark also gave a heartfelt toast thanking them both for being such good role models. The attentive service of the Palo Verde Restaurant allowed them time to enjoy their guests. Added entertainment was provided by 14-month old Gwendolyn, their first great-grandchild.
