Help a blind student get an education – here’s how

You can become part of a unique group of volunteers and make a very meaningful contribution to many blind readers.

To become a braille transcriber, you need:

At least 10 hours a week, both to train and then to make braille books

A love for words. (Word puzzle addicts are especially welcome).

One Windows-system home computer with internet access.

The “volunteer gene.”

The willingness to make a long-term commitment to this most worthwhile hobby/career.

You do NOT NEED:

A car

Physical mobility

To reschedule your other activities

Your own fancy office; you can work anywhere – even on the patio!
