Our Breakers Pool League held its annual party on Sunday, Nov. 10, at Oakwood’s Poolside Café. Seventy-four members and spouses/significant others attended the event. Based upon member comments, the food catered by Stone & Barrel was excellent! The party began with a salute and standing ovation for our veterans.

The annual party welcomes back those members who were returning from their summer respite from the Phoenix heat. Members and spouses rekindle relationships and continue that camaraderie so prevalent in the Breakers pool room. Everyone enjoyed participating in several interesting trivia contests. Multiple gift cards were given away to the ladies.

Tournament Director Randy Bryan announced the blind draw for player Pockets as we began our Welcome Back handicapped 8-Ball tournament Monday, Nov. 11.

This party doesn’t just happen. It is through the combined efforts and talents of the Breakers Board of Directors: Bill Aune, Randy Bryan, Willie Foster, Rene Lamy, and Larry Stadler, that again made our party a great success.

A big thanks to all who participated!
