Our Breakers Board of Directors have been working diligently over the summer developing a full fall schedule.

The Breakers By-Laws were rewritten, simplified and will be emailed to members in mid-September requesting their private vote. Results will not be tabulated prior to close of the October Splash, so results will be noted in November.

A 2018 “Welcome Back” handicapped 8 Ball Tournament has been scheduled for November. The Board thought it would be fitting to call the Fall 2018 tournament “Welcome Back,” as we look forward to seeing all our friends/members who are returning for the beautiful Arizona winter. The 8 Ball Tournament will begin Monday, November 5, and end Monday, December 10. Playoffs will follow that week.

Annual dues for the Breakers League are to be paid in October. Treasurer Bill Aune will be emailing members regarding the dues and later the entry fee for the November tournament.

While we see our members routinely in the pool hall, we rarely get to meet their significant others. Therefore, continuing with our tradition, the Breakers have scheduled our annual social for Sunday, November 11, at the Poolside Café, Oakwood clubhouse. More information will follow.

In addition to our tournaments, our league schedules two sessions of play each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Members volunteer to be the “Game Manager” coordinating each of these sessions and… we take them for granted.
