The following individuals played in the championships: Willie “The Wizard” Foster, Randy “Ollie” Oliver, Randy “Coach” Bryan, Fritz “Dakota Slim” Derheim, John “Mack” McHugh, Keith “Hawk” McDonald, Bill “Lucky” Lange, “Fast Eddie” Allen, Jerry “Slick” Vickery, Sonny “The Shine” Williams, Bob “The Sword” Wilkinson, Jim “The Mountie” Boyes, Wayne “Smadge” Newman, David “The Godfather” Mork, Brian “The Geek” Kretschman, and Red “The Preacher” Boyles.

The league has completed its fifth annual Championships in both types of pool, 8-Ball and 9-Ball. The new champion for 9-Ball is Wayne “Smadge” Newman, who joined the league this fiscal year. Runner up was Bill “Lucky” Lange, who played Wayne in the finals and after Wayne lost to Bill in the semi-finals, they played again for the championship as it was a double elimination challenge. Wayne defeated Bill for the win in an exciting match.

In the 8-Ball Championship, the new champion is Jim “The Mountie” Boyes, who defeated Bill “Lucky” Lange in another exciting match, and championship matches. Bill “Lucky”” Lange was the runner up. Bill played over 100 games of pool in the competition in the 8 and 9-Ball championships. All the players combined played over 400 games in the championships. Some great shots were made on the four new Olhausen tables.

If you are a resident of HOA No. 3 and are interested in playing pool, come to the Pool Room on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday during the posted hours and join your neighbors who will be gathered around the tables, playing some 8 or 9-Ball.
