IronOaks Tennis members compete at Huntsman

Several IronOaks Tennis Club players traveled to St. George, Utah to participate in the annual Huntsman World Senior Games. This competition drew over 11,000 athletes from 72 countries, involved in 27 different sporting fields.

The matches were tough. Our ladies’ teams did especially well, with Lois Newman and Drena Radcliffe securing the second place silver medal in the 55 plus Challenger event, while Mary Kenny and Diane Reddie took the third place bronze medal in the 65 plus Challenger competition.

Also competing was Rick Kenny, fourth place Challenger winner in singles, while the doubles team of John Radcliffe and Wayne Newman made a great showing at the Championship level.

Last year’s first place gold Championship winner, Dave Reddie (playing with partner John Radcliffe), decided to take on a new event and competed in the cycling, participating in three of the four scheduled races.

IronOaks Tennis Club is proud of their participants in this large international  event.
