Our USTA men’s 65 Plus 7.0 tennis team recently captured second place at the 2014 USTA League Nationals Tournament held at the Surprise Tennis Center. To qualify for Nationals, the team had to win their local USTA league and the Southwest Sectionals held last fall. At Nationals, the team defeated sectional winners from Hawaii, California, Michigan and Rhode Island in round robin play. The Sun Lakes group then defeated a team from Washington in the semi-finals before losing to a team from Ft. Myers, Florida in the finals and taking their second place ranking in Nationals.
