Every Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and noon, you can almost hear the creative energy at the Oakwood Art Room.

That’s the oil painting class going on. Most the of students are senior citizens. The story I hear over and over is… “Painting is something I have always wanted to try but I never had the time. Now I’m retired and my kids are grown and finally I have the time. So, here goes.”

I’m constantly surprised by the paintings they turn out. Many of them now have a large body of work.
