The R Countryman Chapter of the Korean War/Korea Service Veterans will meet on Tuesday, January 26 in the Friendship Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club at 10:00 a.m. KWVA is proud to welcome Brigadier General Gregg Maxon, who retired from the Arizona Army National Guard on July 9, 2007. He served as Director of the Arizona Department of Veterans Services from March 2007 to July 2008. He currently serves as the Judge in the Tempe and Mesa Veterans Treatment Courts and represents veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Brigadier General Maxon will be talking about the Veterans Treatment Courts. These courts are growing in popularity across the country. They focus on therapy and treatment over punishment to assist our returning veterans as they reintegrate back in to our communities.

The R Countryman Chapter of the Korean War/Korea War Service Veterans was proud to be a part of the Sun Lakes Country Club Open House held on November 14. Thank you to all of those that came by our table!

The R Countryman Chapter of the Korean War/Korea War Service VA was proud to present a donation to Terry Araman, Director of the Madison Street Veterans Association, for the MANA House. The MANA House is for those veterans currently or at-risk of experiencing homelessness. Thank you, Terry, for helping look out for our veterans!
