The R Countryman Chapter of the Korean War/Korea Service Veterans will meet on Tuesday, May 24 in the Friendship Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club at 10:00 a.m. KWVA will be conducting a presentation of awards to a few of the past commanders as a token of the members appreciation for all they have done for the chapter. Some of the past commanders include Doyle Porter, Mick Tucker, Wayne Krula, Joe Schneider, and Jay Sanderson. Please join us in showing our appreciation for their tremendous support!
Thank you to our February speaker, Don Palmer, the youngest of about 80 engineers that worked on various communications devices that supported all phases of the moon landing and return. And many thanks to our March speaker, Gail Engstrom, Special Events Coordinator from the Phoenix Rescue Mission who explained how her organization provides hope for the homeless and community events for families in need. Your presentations were very informative and passionate!
All veterans and their guests are welcome. You can learn more about us on our website at www.kwvacc.org or contact Commander Jay Sanderson at 480-895-2950.
And remember, “Freedom is NOT free.”
