We know that in Arizona, one in four children, one in five adults, and one in seven seniors don’t know where their next meal will come from. Over a million people are facing hunger insecurity in our State of Arizona alone. Every day, people just like you and me walk through our doors, and with a simple state ID, they receive a food box that means so much to them. These boxes represent a reason to hold on to hope. There are long lines at food banks as the pandemic explodes. Our Meals to Grow program serves to fill the gap by providing over 1000 weekend backpack meals to schools every week. And that number continues to grow. We know that children who have reliable access to food not only do better in school, they do better in life.
