The Oakwood 9 Hole Couples League has a rich history at Oakwood with some members playing for more than 15 years in our league. Our driving theme is fun, fellowship, good food and drink, and, by the way, golf.

As a result of our philosophy, many spouses experience their first golfing experience with our group. The games are set up in a manner to encourage fun while enjoying the company of various other couples during the year. Each event, which occurs every other Friday, features new winners for team events and closest-to-the-pin for both men and women. We would list the winners for each event but it would likely include each member of the group!

This season marks the largest membership in the history of the league with over 72 individual members. Our season runs from October through May with many snowbirds joining us during their retreat to paradise.

Our dinners provided by the staff at Oakwood are excellent. Our dinners are fun-filled with corny jokes and fun picking on our members who are all wonderful sports. Our annual social will be held this month. It is the highlight of the year and hosted at one of the member homes.

There is still time to join us for the remainder of year. A GHIN number is required. If you don’t have one, we can assist you to get one. Each event has a fee of $35 which includes dinner for two and chits for the events plus the cost of golf. The annual membership fee is $40.
