One of our caregivers who volunteered for Neighbors Who Care would drive participants to the Perfect Place. When she realized the services we provided for adult seniors she was intrigued. Now on Monday, Tuesday and Friday she brings her husband to spend time us. She uses this time to get herself to a doctor’s appointment, run errands or play Bridge on Tuesday at Risen Savoir. She is also afforded the opportunity to take classes through New Adventures in Learning at Sun Lakes Center or just have time to relax and read a book.

Her husband, who really enjoys the music of The Dry Heat Pickers, feels welcome and enjoys having people to talk to. The change has been good for him; it has helped stabilize his moods at home. And now he has something to share with his wife about his day out of the house.

We are a non-profit faith-based adult care center. Our volunteers are knowledgeable of Alzheimer’s, dementia, developmental disabilities and various adult neurological challenges. Most of us have had a loved one for whom we were a caregiver. We enjoy what we do.
