Reiki is an energy we allow to flow through us, to help ourselves or someone else. It’s not our own personal physical, mental or emotional energy. It comes from Higher Source. And Divine Source guides the energy as it flows through the Reiki practitioner to the one who is receiving.
The person who receives the energy relaxes, allowing it to heal, balance and restore wherever it is needed – in their physical body and in their mental and emotional distress, too. I know for myself that pain has caused my brain to focus completely on how much it hurts, making me feel afraid, agitated and sometimes angry and blaming.
This is where Reiki becomes the best ally we can find. Reiki brings a feeling of calmness, Allowing healing to happen. Allowing our body-mind connection to focus on That Which is Greater and opening a door of Gratitude.
Reiki assisted physical healing for me after surgery, and emotional healing after I lost my husband. I’ve sent it to family members for similar healing and to people as far away as Europe, also for their healing. The Unconditional Love of Divine Source provides healing power.
Everyone can experience Reiki at the Reiki Circle on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Room A-2 in the Cottonwood Courtyard. There is no fee. All are welcome. Questions? Reiki I Class, taught by Rina, offered on Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days. Instruction includes learning Reiki principles, how to give a Reiki treatment, time to practice giving and to receive.
