Eleven members of the Roadrunners RV Club enjoyed a “Circle the Wagons” dry camping rally in January in the little desert town of Quartzsite, AZ. Dry camping means camping without any electricity or water hookups. The no-frills camping experience did plug the club’s participants into the lots of fun. Events included the RV show in the Big Tent, the Flea Market at Tyson Wells and the Gem & Mineral Show. According to the Quartzsite Sports, Vacation and RV show website, the annual January event was first organized in 1984, and Quartzsite becomes the “The Largest Gathering of RVers in the World!” Club members warmed to nightly campfires and enjoyed a roasted hot dog potluck dinner hosted by Wagon Master couples Dick and Anna Gay Pahlow and Ed and Janet Carlstrom. Dick and Anna Gay Pahlow received a surprise recognition for attending 25 years of Roadrunners rallies at Quartzsite.
