Roadrunners RV Club

Cathie Smith, Secretary

Wasn’t April great? May was a bit warm for me and, “oh my,” are we ready for June and the coming Arizona summer? Most of the Roadrunners RV club will be hitting the road to get out of the heat, but not until we had a great rally on April 15-18, 2020, at Catalina State Park, Tucson, Ariz. Twelve intrepid adventurers stayed within social distance, no meals were provided by Wagon Masters, and snacks were not shared during happy hour. We met in a very large area by the RVs, with everybody bringing their own chairs, drinks, and food. A cool adventure in separate cars to Mt. Lemmon for a picnic lunch took place with even snow next to the road. One of our crafty members made us all masks to put the icing on the cake.

Due to the closing of the meeting rooms (COVID-19), we were not able to have our regular business meeting to close out our season on May 12, 2020. However, our out-going President Steve sent out up-to-date info on the club and budget by email. We all thank Steve Holliger for his many years of service to our club.

The Sun Lakes RV Club meets the second Tuesday of each month in October, November, and January through May. Meetings take place in the Navajo Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club, social time starting at 6:30 p.m. and meeting at 7 to 8 p.m. For more information about the club and its activities, go to www.roadrunnerrvclub.com. Prospective members and visitors are welcome. Come join the fun on Oct. 13, 2020.
