Many Sun Lakes residents know Sara Salim as the friendly face that greets them at the front desk of Chandler-Gilbert Community College. She has also been a presenter for New Adventures in Learning classes and is currently the property materials specialist at C.G.C.C. P.E.O. Chapter DW met Sara when she shared the story of her journey from Iraq to the United States where she eventually became a U.S. citizen.

Sara is currently continuing her education by pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration at Northern Arizona University. To support her in this pursuit, Chapter DW was happy to assist her in applying for and receiving a P.C.E. (Program for Continuing Education) grant and an E.L.F. (Educational Loan Foundation) loan.

P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization whose mission is promoting educational opportunities for women. We could not have found a more deserving candidate than Sara, and we wish her well!
