Sisk Bocce Ball now underway

Thirty-eight new two-player teams registered for Sisk Bocce Ball competition at the club’s table at the Cottonwood Open House October 8. That means more than 240 players will be competing in the club’s fall tournament which begins November 6 on the Sisk Park courts.

For those who are unfamiliar with our club, two-player teams are divided into divisions according to their scores in previous tournaments. So players are competing against others of comparative skill level.

Each team is provided a sheet with names and telephone numbers of others in their division for round-robin play. Teams arrange their games with others in their division at their convenience.

Fall competition runs through January 1, 2017, to be followed by a potluck awards party on January 8 at the Sisk Park pavilion. Awards will be presented to players who finish first through third in each division. The club also will sponsor two inter-club tournaments and a tournament against players from the Oasis Park club this spring and a potluck awards party March 26.

Interested persons who missed out on the fun of the fall session may sign up for a winter-spring session running from January 15 to March 19. For additional information, contact club President Roy Parfitt at 253-906-3047 or Division Director Beth Derheim at 883-3448.
