St. Steven’s Catholic Church parishioners in Sun Lakes volunteered at the AZ State Fair on opening day. The group served as guides/ushers/security at the small animal pavilion. Their accumulated hours, along with the subsequent work of other Knights and Guild members during the fair, will be monetized and applied to the rent of the Coliseum for the AZStandDown for Homeless/Needy Veterans, which will be held in January, 2020. Support of AZStandDown is a major patriotic activity of the St. Steven’s Assembly, Knights of Columbus! Over 1800 veterans are served at this annual event.
