The Sunday Night Dance Club would love to have you join us for dancing, socializing and fun at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 17 in the SanTan Ballroom at the Cottonwood Country Club. Dancing music will be provided by Route 66, a very popular band in the area. Attire for this dance is jacket and tie for the gentlemen and something dressy for the ladies. At the January dance, the club will be celebrating members’ and guests’ 2016 birthdays with a birthday theme.

Dancing is a fantastic way to start the New Year and reap all the benefits of dancing. Dancing can help you build a sense of well-being, and improve your strength, flexibility and endurance. It can also help your heart, improve your balance, boost your memory, reduce stress and increase your energy. Plus, dancing is a great way to meet new people and make new friends.

If you’d like to join us as a guest along with our 60 member couples, please contact Presidents Joseph and Mary Mullen at 480-836-7212, or Vice Presidents Michael and Nancy Rogers at 480-895-5976 to get your name on the list. The cost is $20 per couple to join us one time as a guest of the club. The guest fee may be applied to the annual membership if you decide to join the club. Guests and new members from Sun Lakes and surrounding communities are always welcome!

Members featured in this month’s picture are Don and Beverly Dorge from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Don and Bev enjoy spending their winters in Sun Lakes and participate in several activities in and around the community. They rarely miss a dance with their high energy dance style.
