Sun Lakes Garden Club March Meeting: Hydroponic Gardening!

Starla Kramer

We have a new gardener in town, all the way from Corpus Christi, Texas! Richard Wagner and his wife Jane are newly-retired educators who have just moved to our Sun Lakes community. Richard will be presenting how to grow all kinds of vegetables by using the hydroponics method. He says that this is a very cost-effective, efficient, and fun way to grow almost any kind of vegetable all year long.

Members will enjoy meeting Richard at the monthly meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, March 16, at 10 a.m., (when we get back to live meetings, we’ll have socializing at 9:30 a.m., followed by an optional lunch at noon). Visitors are welcome to join us by sending an email request to receive the Zoom link to [email protected]. Live meetings will resume after the COVID pandemic ends.

Members meet all year on the third Tuesday of each month. Members are welcome from any city and any level of gardening experience. Members receive a monthly newsletter with photos of members’ gardens and activities. Check out our newsletters on the website at SunLakesGardenClub.org, and there is an option to join online through a safe PayPal account. Club memberships are only $20 per year, and a spouse or second member in the household is only $10 per year.

The location for the meetings will resume post-COVID at the Chapel Center (next door to the Sun Lakes All Faiths Community Church and across the street from the Sun Lakes Country Club), 9230 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. N.
