The Sun Lakes Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America presents a program of interest to many concerning Looping our Communities. We have much to learn from Thomas Kaufmann, Founder and CEO, OTOJOY, who resides in Santa Barbara, CA.
The hearing loop provides accessibility for those of us with severe hearing loss. We experience this technology in our very own meeting room in the Ed Robson Library. In 2012, OTOJOY partnered with the Santa Barbara chapter of HLAA to create the “Loop Santa Barbara” public awareness campaign to educate venues, consumers and hearing professionals about hearing loop technology. To date, more than 80 community spaces have been looped. Let’s loop Phoenix!
Please join us as we welcome Tom Kaufmann and learn about this exciting initiative and technology on Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 12:45 to 2:30 p.m. at the Ed Robson Branch Library, Lecky Center, 9330 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248.
You are not alone!
If you, a family member or a friend is challenged by hearing loss, please come and join us for education, sharing and refreshments. All are welcome. You owe it to yourself! CART (real-time captioning) is provided, and the meeting room is looped, thanks to the Friends of the Library, for your hearing accessibility. Please park in the church lot next to the library. Thanks.
