The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation (SLJC) is an established reform congregation that meets at the Sun Lakes Chapel on the second Friday of the month at 7:30 a.m. Services are a great opportunity to meet new people, connect with Judaism and learn. New attendees are invited to be introduced at the service and members of the congregation connect with these attendees. Oneg Shabbats are held immediately after our services at Sun Lakes Country Club. Everyone is invited to attend. The services and Onegs are a great place to meet members, ask questions and learn more about our congregation.

The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation invites everyone to come to our October 9 Shabbat service at 7:30 p.m. where we will honor our new members. In honor of the holiday of Sukkot, yizkor will be recited.

On October 18 SLJC will host a Meet and Greet Event to introduce prospective and new members to all aspects and functions within our congregation at the Chapel Center from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Prospective and new members are encouraged to come and meet the rabbi, cantor, board members and committee chairs. Topics include the following:

• Meet Board members and Committee Chairs

• Introduction to Sisterhood and Men’s Club

• Donations and Social Action

• Discover our online Shpiel

• Our renowned choir

• Adult Bar and Bat Mitzvah; Adult Education and Hebrew classes

• Formation of new Social Groups and Chavarahs

• Trip to Israel

• Affordable dues

Please, in addition this will be a social meeting giving new members a chance to meet other new members and connect with each other. A light bite will be served. We look forward to meeting you.
