The Sun Lakes Lady NIners Golf League gathered in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club on April 9 for the Awards Banquet. Winners of the two tournaments were announced and presented gifts. The 2016 winners are President’s Cup: 1st Phyllis Swanson, 2nd Terri Nasett 3rd Jackie Aagaard. The Overall Club Championship winner is Susan Geis; Flight 1: Betty Wainwright; Flight 2: Betty Desrochers; Flight 3: Sandra LaBute; and Flight 4: Celeste Dorsey. Congratulations ladies!

On March 29, the Niners participated in the Rally for a Cure. A scramble was held and the winning team with a score of 29 was Rose Gallagher, Betty Wainwright, Fran Marolla and Donna Quinn. Loarraine Brammer won closest to the line. Rose Gallagher won the hybrid club donated by the cancer organization; $560 was collected and donated to Rally for a Cure.

May 31 will end the golf league season, and the Niners will celebrate with snacks following play. Tuesdays will still be Ladies Day, so watch for information regarding play times which are usually very early in the morning to beat the heat. There will be no May general meeting so read your emails from the Niners to know what is happening!
