Life is a balancing act. As we age, good balance becomes the key to preventing falls, fractures and their disastrous consequences. What can you do to avoid falling? Try Tai Chi! Featuring slow flowing movements, studies show those who practice Tai Chi weekly can reduce their risk of falling by 47.5%.

My classes are designed for mature adults to help strengthen the lower extremities, while continually moving and calming the mind and body. My mixed-level class (for beginners and intermediate levels) are held on Thursdays from 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the Mirror Room in Sun Lakes Country Club. All drop-in classes are $5. Wear rubber-soled shoes, comfortable clothes and bring water.

For residents of Renaissance, classes at the new Assisted Living Building are from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Independent Living/Main Building from 10:15-11:15 a.m.

To practice at your convenience, try any of my three easy and gentle Tai Chi DVD’s: www.SafeMovements.com or call me at 480-392-3436 for free delivery in the Sun Lakes area.
