Moving the body while breathing and taking the time to be quietly in full focus for ourselves will contribute towards all levels of healing. We can then access the calm focused energy that makes every day a great day.

With our easy and gentle modified Tai Chi-Qigong flowing movements, your muscles remain relaxed, body tissues are not overstretched and fragile joints are not strained. Doctors like Tai Chi-Qigong, as it is a good exercise for people young or old, toned or out of shape and those aging and/or saddled with arthritis. In addition, you will be pleased with how quickly you improve in strength, flexibility, balance and focus.

My classes are designed for mature adults to help strengthen the lower extremities, while continually moving and calming the mind and body. My mixed-level class (for beginners and intermediate levels) is held on Thursdays from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the Mirror Room in Sun Lakes Country Club. All drop-in classes are $5. Wear rubber soled shoes, comfortable clothes and bring water.

For residents of Renaissance, classes at the new Assisted Living Building are from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and at the Independent Living/Main Building from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.
