Tennis Tips from Coach Kwong

Your racket can assist or hinder your performance and may determine if you win or lose.

Some of the factors may depend on who you are partnered with (doubles) or merely your skill level and consistency. But other factors players overlook is simply their strings and grip. After a period of time, racquet strings lose their playability, feel, and tension, which will result with the outcome of your shot-making delivery. Another factor is a worn or less tacky grip where the player has a bit of slippage when grasping and swinging the racket, and will experience some racket twisting due to a worn grip.

So, periodically, make sure you restring your racket and re-grip to help with better on-court play.
