Where in the world is the Solovetsky Islands? Most of us have never heard of these islands. They are situated in the western part of the White Sea, less than 100 miles from the Arctic Circle, and consist of six big and many small islands. There are several things to see, such as the Solovetsky fortress and cathedrals. This is a cool spot to get out of the summer heat of Phoenix.
