Unity: Moving from Fear to Faith

Kay Davis

Greetings from Unity Church of Sun Lakes! We are a New Thought church that follows the teachings of Jesus as well as other wise spiritual masters. We are positive thinkers and affirmative prayers, and we know that God’s abundance and love is everywhere present and indwells in all of us. Rev. Jeanne MacLaughlin records our Sunday morning services and broadcasts them on YouTube. To watch them, go to YouTube and search Unity of Sun Lakes.

This is being written on Sept. 9 in Flagstaff, Ariz. Unity of Sun Lakes also participates in this sacred event. Today, Unity Church of Flagstaff is participating and celebrating with Worldwide Unity and Unity churches all over the world in the annual World Day of Prayer. For the next 24 hours, there will be at least one person in our sanctuary who will be praying. We pray for those members who have asked for prayer for healing, jobs, food and shelter, and safety. We pray for 195 countries on our planet and speak their names into our space, considering their occupants, their lands, their animals, and bless and honor them, as they are our global family. This year’s affirmation is Standing in Truth; I move from fear to faith. In this “now moment,” I invite you to visualize our world surrounded by the holy light of love, peace, and healing. God bless you and thank you for your prayers.
