Unity right speakers

Greetings to all from Unity of Sun Lakes! We are a progressive spiritual organization, seek to live a healthy lifestyle and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ as well as many other spiritual masters. When you walk through our doors you will feel safe, loved and welcome.

Our study group just finished reading and experiencing a book written by Robert Brumet, Living Originally, Ten Spiritual Practices to Transform your Life, and one of the chapters on compassionate communication spoke of both listening and right speaking. Listening is a practice of simply being present without trying to change the other person or get them to agree with you. Right speaking is more of a challenge. Rev. Brumet lists three guidelines for us to follow. Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? If we would but stop and ask these three questions before we start speaking we will be practicing compassionate communication and no doubt we will be allowing more peace and love into our world. The key word in all of this is PRACTICE. To use the 10 different meditations which go along with the book, consult the internet and search unity.org/RobertBrumet/meditations.
