Vinyasa is a flow style yoga; breathing as you move through a sequence of poses. It promotes relaxation as you build strength, endurance, and flexibility. Core strength and balance build as you practice. Practicing yoga is an effective way to keep strong and flexible for other activities such as golf, tennis, bicycling, hiking, etc.
On Tuesdays I will teach the basics of the poses and we will hold them longer. However, students should have some previous yoga experience. Thursdays we will apply the basics into a faster paced flow. Although every student practices at their own level, Thursday’s class will be more challenging. Learning the basics on Tuesdays provides an opportunity for exploring growth in your practice that you can apply on Thursdays.
I teach Vinyasa yoga at Cottonwood on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. in Room A-6; cost is $5.
Students should bring a mat and any blocks or straps they may need.
I attended some great workshops this summer and I look forward to sharing my new knowledge with you.
