42nd Annual Bradshaw-Neu Tennis Charity Classic Returns

Mike Jaltuch, President, Cottonwood Tennis Club

The Cottonwood Tennis Club is gearing up for its flagship event of the year, the 42nd Annual Bradshaw-Neu Tennis Charity Classic, running from Nov 15 through 21. After breaking all attendance records last year, organizers are confident this year’s event will set a new high-water mark for the community.

A major highlight of this year’s tournament is a special exhibition match featuring the Grand Canyon University (GCU) Division One Women’s Tennis team. The exhibition will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Court #1. This match is completely free and open to the general public, regardless of whether you are participating in the tournament. It is a fantastic opportunity for residents to come out and watch high-level collegiate tennis right here in Sun Lakes.

For those looking to compete, the tournament is open to the public for players aged 50 and over. The competition features men’s and women’s doubles across the 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 divisions. Participants will enjoy premium perks, including free lunches on all seven days of the tournament and an evening cocktail party.

Beyond the action on the courts, the Bradshaw-Neu Tennis Charity Classic serves a vital role in supporting the community. Proceeds from the event will benefit Neighbors Who Care, St. Mary’s Food Bank, the GCU Women’s Tennis team, and the Cottonwood Tennis Club.

Registration is currently open, but the deadline is fast approaching on Nov. 7. To secure your spot on the courts, or to find more information about the week’s events, visit www.bradshawtennis.com.
