The Fun Lakers Club is ready for the arrival of the snowbirds with many exciting events planned for the next several months. There’s something for everyone! Become a member or try one of the events as a non-member. You definitely will meet new friends.

Come join us for the Fun Lakers Comedy Night event with Magic on Saturday, Nov. 23, at

7 p.m., open seating. After our last two comedy events were such a success, we continue the tradition with yet more laughter. The evening will present three different comedians, one of whom is female, and one is a magician! Doors open at the Cottonwood San Tan Ballroom at 4:30 p.m. for a Taco Buffet or partial menu for those who would like to dine first (not included in ticket price). Seating is on a first-come basis. Awesome low ticket price of $8 member ($10 non-member). The next Dinner-Dance will be on Nov. 14 at the Oakwood Ballroom. Doors open at 5 p.m., free dance lessons at 6:30 p.m., open dance from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $12 per person per dance. Music is by Thaddeus Rose. Woodstock is being presented by the Fun Lakers Club in January. We are looking for artists who want to participate in the event on Jan. 25, 2020, which is open from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. The event will offer paintings in all mediums, pottery, jewelry, photography, woodworking, and much more, centered on the ‘60s and Woodstock theme. Artists can request a space at [email protected]. Please include your name, email address, phone number, and three photos of your work (centered on ‘60s/Woodstock theme). The cutoff date for space registration is Dec. 27, 2019. The application fee is $20. Each artist will be provided a table and two chairs. The Euchre Club meets monthly on the first and third Tuesdays of the month year-round. To join, call Joe and Gloria Tucker at 812-584-2542.
