Touching bases with dancers through email has been a blessing. I’ve even gotten to wave at a couple of them! My husband and I have been “staying home” since March 14, but who’s counting? He did golf a few times after that date but decided on his own it would be best not to continue for a while. Yes, we’ve gotten groceries a few times and were very lucky to pick times when it wasn’t very crowded. We’ve had four “treat curbside/drive-thrus.” Cleaning and wiping everything off makes us realize cooking the meals at home is a lot easier, and sometimes more enjoyable.
After watching protesters, those ignoring “social distancing” and not wearing masks, we believe the decision to reopen anything is going to set us back and wipe out the progress we made. If there is a “miracle” around the corner and I feel it’s safe to start classes again, I will let the dancers know.
The dancers are always told, “I’m very easily pleased.” The task of keeping myself entertained is from my childhood. Being satisfied with our home, playing cards, reading, enjoying the same things on TV, and almost 61 years of marriage make it easier for us!
I’m taking registrations for Ultra Basics Line Dancing starting Mondays, Sept. 7, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. If you would like your name added to the list, please call 480-802-0201 after 10 a.m. Leave a message: line dancing, your name, and phone number, and I will return your call. I block calls with no messages. Escape with us from the really crazy world! God bless line dancing.
