Message from the President
Roger Beagle
July brings us to the middle of summer and hot days ahead. We look forward to celebrating the Fourth of July by watching fireworks, eating hot dogs, grilling hamburgers, and enjoying cold drinks. Let us remember the freedoms we have been blessed with in this country, and I wish continued health to all as we come out of the pandemic.
Our community has planned entertainment shows, dinners, and gatherings in our restaurants. I hope to see those of you who are around this summer enjoy the planned events. Remember our other amenities: swimming pools, bars, the Fitness Center, golf courses, tennis courts, greenbelts, and some newly-completed pickleball courts. All of these amenities are available for your use and enjoyment.
Homeowners who stay around the community for the summer will see our managers and employees working diligently to keep up with maintaining the improvements of all our amenities.
The pump station at hole 4 of the Cottonwood golf course has had the well pumps replaced after 12-plus weeks of shutdown. The golf course and greenbelts were starved for water during this period due to the failure of the pumps. Remember, we are in an extended length of a drought. The weather did not cooperate, resulting in a difficult transition from the winter to summer grass. The pumps are now working very well, and the improvement of healthier and greener grass on the golf course and greenbelts is in progress.
Those of us who stay here for the summer are rewarded by great sunsets, clear night skies, and sometimes a rain or dust storm to cool the afternoon-evening temperatures.
My wish is for all homeowners to have an enjoyable summer, whether you are staying home or traveling to see family and friends.
Happy Summertime!
