Margie Parrish
You are invited to a fun yoga class every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m., called Yin Yang Yoga Flow with Margie Parrish, at Cottonwood Palo Verde Fitness Center (CWPVFC).
Margie is a 500-hour Yoga Alliance teacher who has taught vinyasa, yin, restorative, and yoga nidra classes in Central Phoenix for the last eight years in various studios, including Metta Studio and LA Fitness. She and her husband Scott and two dogs, Rocket and Lucy, moved to Cottonwood in January, 2021.
This new yoga class will include a mix of active (yang) poses to energize and static (yin) poses to deeply stretch muscles and joints.
A typical one-hour class will start with a mind/body centering, gentle warm-up, Sun Salutations, standing and balancing poses, and poses done in a prone position using various props to help you release tension and tightness from the body, and calm the mind of worry and negative thought patterns.
The last Thursday of the month there will be a one-hour Yin class, including sound healing and a short meditation.
This yoga class is for all levels and is appropriate for beginners who feel comfortable flowing from one pose to the next and moving up and down on the mat. Margie’s teaching style emphasizes mindful breathing, gentle variations for challenging poses, restorative rest, and inspiring quotes and affirmations, to leave you feeling calm, centered, and energized.
So, make yoga part of your wellness plan and come join this supportive and friendly yoga community at CWPVFC. See you on the mat.
Punch cards are available, and the drop-in price is $5.
